FileArch is built around one simple principle: your files are yours. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Local processing

All file processing — merging, splitting, converting, compressing, scanning, and every other task offered by FileArch — happens inside your browser on your device. No file content is ever sent to our servers.

No uploads, no storage

We do not upload, store, copy, cache or back up your files. When you close the tab, anything you processed is gone from our end because it was never with us to begin with.

No access to file contents

We — the operators of FileArch — have no technical means to read, view or analyze the contents of files you process. The code is open and runs entirely client-side.

Analytics and advertising

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate usage (page views, anonymized device class) so we can improve the product. If advertising is ever introduced, it will be clearly disclosed and will never be based on the contents of your files.

Cookies

We use minimal local storage to remember your theme preference. We do not set tracking cookies.
